Calaura Schisler is a licensed professional board-certified music therapist at our Macomb, IL location servicing McDonough County and surrounding areas.
Calaura specializes in music therapy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioral, intellectual, and developmental disabilities, as well as those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke, and mental health conditions. Calaura Schisler also has experience in medical settings and hospice care.
Using a person-centered approach, Calaura Schisler supports individuals in achieving their goals while providing a safe space for clients to engage in authentic self-expression through music experiences.

BACKGROUND
Calaura Schisler graduated from Monmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in music performance (2017). She then went on to receive a Bachelor of Music in music therapy at Western Illinois University (2019) followed by an internship at UpliftedCare in Bourbonnais, IL.
In her free time, Calaura enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her friends, family and puppy Maisy.
